Jessica Brower, ARNP, is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who started working in mental health in 2002. Jessica graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor of science degree in psychology in 2004. During her course of study at Iowa State she began mentoring children in the acute psychiatric setting. She also worked with the psychology department conducting research in the areas of learning, memory, violence, and aggression. After graduation Jessica started working with children and adults in the Des Moines area who were struggling with their mental health needs.
Jessica earned her associate of science in nursing degree from Mercy College of health sciences in 2007. She then started working in both the inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, providing services to children and adolescents. In 2020, she graduated from Walden University with her master of science in nursing degree. She is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Jessica was commissioned in 2007 and currently serves in the United States Army reserve. She has a special interest in PTSD and takes great pride in caring for veterans and service members who have sacrificed greatly for the safety of our nation.
During her free time Jessica enjoys reading, exercise, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and two rowdy dogs.
