Marley is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) who received her Masters of Social Work from the University of Iowa. Marley has over 10 years of experience working with children and families in the child welfare system in various roles. Marley is passionate about helping clients process trauma and gain resilience in even the most difficult of circumstances.
Marley has received training in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and Play Therapy. Marley is endorsed through the State of Iowa as an Infant Mental Health expert (IMH-E) and has received specialized training in the area of infant mental health.
Some areas of specialization for Marley include early childhood mental health (ages 0-8), trauma, attachment issues, life transitions, foster care, adoption, ADHD, anxiety, parenting, family therapy, and depression. In the therapy setting, Marley uses an eclectic and tailored approach to best meet her client’s unique needs. Marley believes that play is the language of children and that play therapy is a unique intervention that can help children heal and build resilience.
