Melvin Bobo is a seasoned clinical social worker. He holds an independent social work license in the state of Iowa. Melvin earned a master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from Drake University. Melvin is certified as an anger management trainer and has led anger management programs for many years.
Melvin has worked with diverse populations in human services and mental health since 1981. He has provided services as a private practitioner, as a contractual provider with the Veteran’s Administration, and as a mental health therapist in a hospital-based outpatient clinic. He has extensive experience with veterans with mental and physical disabilities and adults with complex mental health issues. Melvin offers weekend appointments.
