Sheryl Frye completed her Master of Social Work at the University of Illinois in 1994. She is licensed as an Independent Clinical Social Worker in Iowa, Illinois and Vermont. Sheryl works with adults of all ages. She has a special interest in working with seniors. Sheryl has over two decades experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, school/work related challenges, LGBTQ issues and disability concerns. She has experience working with grief and loss as well as life transitions. Her focus is bringing a sense of balance and health into her patient’s lives. Sheryl believes therapy can be a catalyst for positive change. She empowers and strengthen her patient’s ability to identify and address their goals. She uses a client-centered, interpersonal, emotion-focused approach as the theoretical foundation of her practice. She uses skills in CBT, ACT, mindfulness and motivational interviewing.
